Dating from the French Revolution, the farm has elements from the village castle of the time.
Postal relay in the 18th century, the house welcomed travelers who changed their horses on their way.
Later it became a silk factory, growing silkworms and housing 15 residents.
Two sisters subsequently lived there in the 19th century and it became a family house later in the 20th century.
The current summer kitchen bears traces of an old forge, where the blacksmith lived on site taking care of the various tools and horseshoes.
The construction and evolution has been progressive over the centuries.
Inspired by the mediterranean countries we visited and slow life attributes, the layout & finishings have been carefully curated for the home.
Concrete and wood were the main material for the interiors, it has been executed with an array of textures, colors & elements with local artisans. It has been complemented with the juxtaposing textures of linen, iron and terracotta.
Each area has been created with a palette composed of natural materials and sharp shapes.
The property sits on a manucured garden with touches of green and gray to counter-balance the yellow stone of the main house.
